Fun Easter Bunny Nail Art

I've been working on heaps of new projects and will share them very soon. In the meantime, it was my birthday this weekend past. So I indulged a bit and was spoiled by the family.
I took the time to do my nails.

They're pretty and spring-ish. Very simple and quick to do. Took forever to dry though. I had to spend hours holding the couch down waiting for them to harden.

I got this little guy too. Isn't he sweet? He's from our local favorite shop. The antiques warehouse. I could spend days there browsing around the zillions of booths. We always find toys from when we were kids. Or a cup that was at the cottage that I didn't think I even remembered. It always makes me a bit teary. But they're all happy memories and happy tears, so it's a good place to go.

Maggs made me this beautiful birthday cake. It's dark chocolate cake with toasted coconut cream cheese icing. It was delicious.

Hope you all had a great weekend too!

And so..... It Begins!

Super excited to get started on some projects that have been in the planning stage for EVER!
There are more than 40 different designs in the works.

It's an ambitious few projects and I'm completely stoked about getting things up and running.
I've spent the weekend conditioning heaps of STAEDTLER Fimo Puppen. It's my go to clay for doll and puppet making and I'm so happy to have it in my hot little hands again.

Here's the tutorial I posted for making these eyes. If you're feeling like playing along with us, you might want to craft up a few of your own.

I'll be sharing more about what's happening over the next few months.
I can tell you that I've finally given in to those of you who have been at me to sell my actual work, not just the instruction. And I can't wait to introduce you to our creations!

Daffodil Nails

I did a back fill on my silver nails from a few weeks ago and decided it was time to add a bit of spring to their icy colour scheme.

I used STAEDTLER karat soft pastel chalks to colour my acrylic powders. Here's a tutorial on the process in case anyone missed it.

There are so many colour choices using this chalk method for adding colours to my acrylics that all I can think about is making a full spring flower garden on my nails. I think I need longer nails so I can have more room to decorate.... or maybe I should be using this technique with the super softened STAEDTLER Fimo and create some jewelry pieces. Whatever I decide to do, I'd better hurry up and do it! The real flowers will be up and poking their heads through the soil before I know it.

Hope you can sense the spring where you are too.
My goodness it's been a long winter.
