A Bit of Selfish Sewing V8728 Vogue

I finally got a day to do absolutely nothing... so I decided it was time I made myself a new dress.
I picked up this vintage Vogue reprint a few months ago and have been waiting for a few spare hours to whip it up.

I used Vogue's vintage reprint of V8728 and a pretty pink thrifted sheet to make the first dress. I like the low budget fabric option and the pink roses are so much prettier than a plain muslin.

This pattern came together very quickly.

I added my house dress pockets to it but I didn't elasticate the pocket tops. I can't do without pockets. I've left out the shoulder pads for now. I may add them to the next dress from this pattern.

I'm pleased as punch with this dress pattern. Can you see that I've used the finished sheet top as my hem? It was a shortcut.... we'll see how it hangs.
Now I just need someplace to wear it!
