It's been awhile! I've been having so much fun in the salon, that I've forgotten all about blogging. I'm taking a minute to share some of the garden designs we've been doing. Spring is here! Finally!

So Many Nails
So many nails!!!!
It's been a fantastic month. Heaps of new clients all with new nail art ideas. Here are a few of them. Too many to post them all.
This was a transparent blue builder gel over top of some holographic glitter that was applied over a base of opaque blue gel. Love the depth this technique gives.
Some matte burgundy gels with a 3D gel brush sculpted rose.
A hand painted snowman with a few accent nails. Loads of snowy glitter and a sweater nail in grey.
Great set! Love doing marble! and who can resist matte black?
A hand painted feather with an embedded crystal.
These are some embedded shards of mica flake. Soooooo pretty!!!
A simple double stamped snowflake with holo glitter accents.
Chilly blue and silver with some 3D swirls in snowy matte.
Lovely sweaters.
3D swirls with blizzard glitter. Brrrrrrrrrr.....
Sweet pink set.
Natural nail polish mani. I love doing these.
A faded chrome over white with a 3D ring finger for textrue.
I was calling these ones Canadian winter. We did a glitter fade and a plaid with chrome tape.
These were my Holiday nails. a mauve ombre with snowy stamps.
More sweaters. This time with a metallic denim accent.
Black gel overlays with some rainbow glitter.
Some natural looking french extensions.
My glittery New Year Nails. Matte nudes over a glitter base edged in 3D white powder.
More pretty pink festive nails.
Hope these are a bit inspiring.
I'm tired now.....
Maybe I'll relax by painting more nails.
:D

We've Been Up to Things
Beastie has been baking up a storm this summer! She takes great care decorating her fruity tarts. They are filled with vanilla pudding and topped with berries and then some thinned out berry jam. Then she tops them with a sprig of mint from the front garden.
I got to do my Auntie J's nails this week!!! She's here from clear across the country. Couldn't love her more!!!
These are her tiny nails before we put her extensions on. So wee and delicate.
I really could not have achieved this C curve without using Nail Innovationz formz and products. Not to mention their schooling....... Love this product more than I can tell you.
And they Nail Nerdz support network that comes with their training.
I've made heaps more nail bags for the Salon this week too!
We've formulated our very own Cute-A-Kell's oil!!!
It contains more than six nourishing oils including cocoa, sunflower, coconut and vitamin E!
There is a vial in every bag.
I also included a new nail brush and two files along with our oil and some cotton buds for easy application.
Added some crisp white extensions to these beautiful hard working fingers.
These tiny treasures are as cute as a bug!
Wild bitsy foxes and flowers on these tiny nails. These girls sat so calmly! Wonderful time decorating them!
My nails got did this week too!
I finally put some mini stiletto nails back on.
Couldn't resist a bit of glitter either. I used STAEDTLER iridescent. and Martha Stewart clear glitters. The plain nails have some white striping tape inside. I may have to play with these a bit more when I find a second or two.

Teensy Weensy Almond Pointies
These are Maggie's finger tips. She wanted stiletto nails, but she is a nail biter and unaccustomed to wearing nails. She grew her nails out a bit and we kept the pointies short. We'll call them almond nails. For scale I've included a pic of my nail beside her tiny finger. She's a grown woman now, but still has the finger tips of a toddler. Cutie!

Teeny Tiny STAEDTLER Fimo Nail Art Roses

Here are some more mini roses for nail art inclusions. I originally made them here. But have decided it needed a tiny tutorial video and some other colour examples.
Thanks to STAEDTLER for the unlimited colour selections available.
Hope this is useful.
I'll be posting some pics of the roses once they are inside a set of nails.
Stay tuned!

McCall's M6930 Polka Dot Capri's
I love me a good FabricLand Sale!
We picked up HEAPS of new fabrics and patterns at the last one.
Pockets are all contrasty. I think these will be my new favorite make.
Can't wait to get a few seconds to finish these off.
Then maybe a simple sleeveless collared blouse in pink to go with?
I had some glitzy gold nails for work this week.
They were ever so sparkly!
I used gold holographic glitter over a metallic gold base.
I finished them off with two coats of Sally Hansen's Insta-Dry Clear Coat.
They twinkled like stars.

Nails and Christmas Cookies
Did these diagonal nails last week and thought it was a cool enough effect to share. It was pretty easy. I painted my nails one colour and then put a piece of painter's tape over each nail at the diagonal half way point. Then I painted a second colour and had James remove the tape. I dotted the first colour over the edge of the second colour and visa versa. Looks like the colours are dripping into each other.
Because I publish in Magazines. I have to work at least half a year in advance. That's why, if you come to my house in the middle of July, you'll find us making Christmas sugar cookies! The red balls are chocolate chips. Yummmmmmm!
I spilled some icing. Lily can not abide spilled icing...
Lily approved!
Merry July!
