How to Paint 3D Roses Using Super Softened STAEDTLER Fimo

Excited to share the video on Painting 3D Roses with Super Softened STAEDTLER Fimo.

It's a nail technician's technique, applied to polymer clay.
I love that this Fimo version of the rose allows me time to play with the shapes. The acrylic powder and liquid that I use to create 3D nail art has a very fast cure time and I always feel rushed.

This really is a very versatile way to make delicate blossoms.
Can't wait to hear what you think of it.

    1. Tonja, the instructions are my main focus.
I don't usually reproduce pieces for sale. (Although, I have been working on some secret schemes to be announced later in the year.)
I do however, consider requests from new clients who manufacture or distribute art and craft materials... As long as they don't conflict with clients I currently work for.
I will only write and design for companies and products that I believe in and trust.

  6. YES, DO A PANSY TUT...I love pansies! Also wondering if I could use liquid clay instead of the deco that you used? I live so far from everywhere...I have to have my shopping list together when I go for supplies! And sometimes they don't have what I WANT.... life on the prairies!

  7. Oh Hello There Anonymous!
    Pansies it is!

My preferred polymer is Fimo and I love their liquid clay (called Fimo liquid Deco Gel).

I chose it for it's clarity and how easily it mixes into the clay.

It also hardens to a non brittle finished product when heat set.

I'm not sure how other brands would turn out.

  8. Love it. Works so much better than on a soft clay base. I used to paint wood like this many years ago and tried it on polymer with a soft base. It turns out ok but I was never happy with it. I never thought to soften the clay this much. Fabulous and thank you for sharing. Cant wait to try it. I miss painting and love this look. Hugs.
